January 2013 retreat

The Secure Computing Research for Users’ Benefit (SCRUB) winter retreat will be all day on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, 5001 Great America Parkway, Santa Clara CA 95054 (Great America Rooms 1-3).

The retreat will begin with breakfast at 9:30 a.m. (in Great America 3) and the opening remarks will start at 10 a.m. (in Great America 1-2).    The program at the Convention Center will go until 6  p.m., then we will have an offsite dinner.

This event is invitation-only.

Posters

The posters will be available to retreat attendees, funders, and center members at this page.

For students

Students funded by ISTC will be expected to provide a poster to update the group on his or her research.

Email your poster to Angie by no later than Monday, January 7.  She will print and transport your poster.  Send her a PDF formatted for 24″x36″ and, if applicable, the Powerpoint source as well. (If you are not able to send it to Angie by Monday, January 7th, please contact her to let her know and provide the title and authors of your poster.)

Posters must be 24″x36″ as a PDF. Posters will be printed ‘fit to page’ in color.

Let us know if you have any special A/V needs (e.g., for a demo).

 

Travel

Driving directions and directions from the three major Bay Area airports may be found here.  The closest airport is the San Jose International Airport (SJC).

There are many hotels in the area.  The Hyatt Regency is connected to the Convention Center and the Hilton is across the street.

For those who signed up for the bus from Berkeley campus, the Bauer’s bus will depart outside Soda Hall on LeRoy St. at 8 a.m. on Friday morning. Please be prompt.
